Plant operator (dozer) — Somerset County

Now hiring: we are hiring a plant operator (dozer) in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. You will work on a road construction project. Day-to-day duties: • Form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle • Clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin • Push-load motor scrapers during bulk earthmoving • Backfill trenches and foundations once services are laid • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil • Strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse Requirements: • Familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine Overtime paid at a premium rate.
