Fettler — Clay County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fettler in Clay County, North Carolina. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Day to day you will fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand. Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Pay around $3,300 per month, based on your experience. Share your details and we will call you back.
