Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Sheridan County, Wyoming. You will work on a structural steel site. Day-to-day duties: • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks Requirements: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
