Immediate opening: we are hiring a formwork joiner in Saint Clair County, Illinois. You will be based at an infrastructure construction site. On the job you will handle: • Check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line • Watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters • Set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts • 2+ years on RCC and formwork on building or infrastructure sites • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
