Vacancy available: vertical milling machine operator (England)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Solihull, England. You will be based at a busy machine shop. You will hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; keep in-process inspection records and log production counts; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery. What we are looking for: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery Meals and transport allowance provided.
