Immediate opening: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Iosco County, Michigan. You will work at a busy machine shop. Requirements: • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work Day-to-day duties: • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
