Immediate opening: formwork carpenter (New York)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Schenectady County, New York. You will work on a bridge and flyover project. Day-to-day duties: • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters You should have: • Follows site safety, PPE and edge-protection rules • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork 1+ years on the tools preferred.
