Cement mason — Goliad County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a cement mason in Goliad County, Texas. The job is on a road and bridge project. The role involves: • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing What we are looking for: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
