Brickwork mason — Jefferson County

Now hiring: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Jefferson County, Illinois. You will work at a renovation and extension job. The role involves laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge. What we are looking for: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $4,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
