Safety inspector — Decatur County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a safety inspector in Decatur County, Indiana. You will work on a road and infrastructure project. You will ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry. Ideal candidate: • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. $140 per day, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
