Tig welder — Dickinson County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tig welder in Dickinson County, Michigan. You will work in a food and dairy equipment factory. Your main tasks: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) You should have: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Part-time with flexible hours.
