Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Piatt County, Illinois. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. On a typical shift you will back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent. What we are looking for: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
