Sand plant operator — Kern County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Kern County, California. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture Requirements: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $5,200 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
