Core maker • Gladwin County, Michigan

Immediate opening: we are hiring a core maker in Gladwin County, Michigan. The job is on the moulding line. On a typical shift you will operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Full-time, day shift.
