Ladle pourer — Holmes County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Holmes County, Florida. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Day-to-day duties: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant Full-time, day shift.
