Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry operative in Fleming County, Kentucky. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry The role involves: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
