Now hiring: we are hiring a power float operator in Daviess County, Kentucky. The job is at an infrastructure site. Day-to-day duties: • Cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms Requirements: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage Full-time with occasional weekends.
