TIG welder — Leicestershire

Vacancy available: we are hiring a TIG welder in Leicestershire, England. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection You will grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks. 5+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. £2,750 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
