Hoist operator — Shelby County

You should have: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Understanding of hand and radio signals Day-to-day duties: • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control Full-time with occasional weekends.
