Ladle pourer — Dorset

Immediate opening: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Dorset, England. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Day to day you will make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Pay around £1,850 per month, based on your experience.
