Natural gas fitter — Thomas County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a natural gas fitter in Thomas County, Georgia. You will work at a busy gas installation company. You should have: • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces On a typical shift you will set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge; check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray; run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints; connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation. Six days a week, one day off. We offer $3,900 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
