Press setter operator — Cambridgeshire

We are recruiting: we are hiring a press setter operator in Cambridgeshire, England. You will work at a busy press shop. Requirements: • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges Day to day you will feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts; record output and downtime on the production sheet; set up and change stamping dies and tooling; check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely; deburr and stack finished components for the next operation. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
