Vacuum press operator — Magoffin County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Magoffin County, Kentucky. The job is in a busy laundry. Day-to-day duties: • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts Requirements: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep We offer $2,800 per month plus benefits.
