Urgent requirement: we are hiring a machinist in Frederick County, Maryland. The job is on an export house sewing floor. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory On the job you will handle: • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
