Sewing machine operator • Clatsop County, Oregon

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Clatsop County, Oregon. You will work in a textile and apparel unit. What we are looking for: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines The role involves: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Pay around $5,300 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
