Join our team: we are hiring a bricklayer in Hardeman County, Texas. The job is on a commercial construction site. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Day-to-day duties: • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. We offer $5,500 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
