We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry worker in Elliott County, Kentucky. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. The role involves make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle. You should have: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Basic grinding and fettling skills 6+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours.
