Moulder wanted in Lamar County

Join our team: we are hiring a moulder in Lamar County, Alabama. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. What we are looking for: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding The role involves: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $3,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
