Now hiring: we are hiring a meat trimmer in Muscatine County, Iowa. You will work at a halal meat counter. On a typical shift you will dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; season and marinate meat on request; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone. Requirements: • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry 6+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $4,100 per month, based on your experience. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
