Heavy goods vehicle driver — DeWitt County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a heavy goods vehicle driver in DeWitt County, Texas. On the job you will handle: • Report defects and book the unit in for servicing • Carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off • Secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock • Log working hours on the tachograph and swap driver cards • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load Requirements: • Valid HGV/LGV Class 1 (C+E) licence • Current Driver CPC qualification card • Willing to take on night and multi-day trips 3+ years on the tools preferred.
