Core maker • Rusk County, Texas

Great opportunity: we are hiring a core maker in Rusk County, Texas. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. Day to day you will pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Part-time with flexible hours.
