Now hiring: press machine operator (Michigan)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a press machine operator in Alcona County, Michigan. You should have: • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred Day to day you will carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor; set up and change stamping dies and tooling; load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed; watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts; fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting; record output and downtime on the production sheet. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
