The role involves: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run What we are looking for: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Rotating shifts.
