Semi-automatic welder — Carroll County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Carroll County, Indiana. You will be based in a heavy engineering unit. The role involves: • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding What we are looking for: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
