Vacancy available: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Polk County, Nebraska. The job is at a drainage and utilities contractor. Ideal candidate: • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs • Proven experience on 360 tracked excavators (8t–30t) The role involves clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble; swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger; carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels; keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly; track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport; inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up. At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
