Immediate opening: tailor machinist (Texas)

Join our team: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Hemphill County, Texas. You will work in a textile and apparel unit. Day to day you will attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift. You should have: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance Pay around $5,300 per month, based on your experience.
