Immediate opening: we are hiring a crane operator in Geneva County, Alabama. You will work in an open-cast mine. You will level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines; work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals; backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations; stockpile and spread material to the required levels; read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles; top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects. Requirements: • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Valid heavy equipment / plant operator licence • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery 6+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $4,000 per project, based on your experience. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
