Shakeout operator wanted in Aroostook County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Aroostook County, Maine. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Day-to-day duties: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
