Plant operator wanted in Berkeley County

Join our team: we are hiring a plant operator in Berkeley County, South Carolina. You will be based at a drainage and utilities contractor. On a typical shift you will keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly; dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds; work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter; carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels; grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient; inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up. What we are looking for: • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing We offer $230 per day plus benefits.
