Argon welding operator wanted in Lake County

Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Lake County, Indiana. The role involves: • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size Ideal candidate: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $2,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
