Plant operator — Peterborough

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a plant operator in Peterborough, England. The job is at a plant hire yard. What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance On a typical shift you will check for underground cables and services before digging; backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations; top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects; read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles; operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material; break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment.
