Great opportunity: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator (dozer) in Huron County, Michigan. You will work on a quarry floor. You should have: • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels • Valid heavy equipment or plant operator licence • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine On a typical shift you will clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin; carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil; follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels; grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms; rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank; maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear.
