Cnc lathe setter wanted in Buchanan County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a cnc lathe setter in Buchanan County, Iowa. You will work at a busy machine shop. Ideal candidate: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg The role involves adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish; deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand; check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; load and index turning tools in the turret; run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles; run first-off inspection and sign off the part. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
