Site carpenter — Franklin County

Now hiring: we are hiring a site carpenter in Franklin County, Virginia. You will work on a residential housebuilding project. Day to day you will assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops; plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish; cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw; erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours; glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together; measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge. What we are looking for: • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent • Good eye for detail and a clean finish • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers Pay around $4,000 per month, based on your experience.
