Turning centre operator — Sac County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Sac County, Iowa. You will be based in a job-work machining unit. On a typical shift you will check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets; write and edit G-code programs at the control; watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes. You should have: • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred 6+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. $4,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
