Immediate opening: earthmoving plant operator (Virginia)

Immediate opening: we are hiring an earthmoving plant operator in Louisa County, Virginia. You will work in an open-cast mine. The role involves: • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Check for underground cables and services before digging • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations Requirements: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Pay around $120 per day, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
