Sand plant operator — Jackson County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Jackson County, Wisconsin. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts The role involves check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
