Vacancy available: concrete pump mate (Texas)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete pump mate in Hartley County, Texas. You will be based on a high-rise slab pour. Day to day you will cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule; load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days. Requirements: • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
