Trainee butcher — McMullen County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a trainee butcher in McMullen County, Texas. You will work at a busy retail butcher's shop. The role involves season and marinate meat on request; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date. Requirements: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate Part-time with flexible hours. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
