Presser — Sevier County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a presser in Sevier County, Tennessee. The job is in a busy laundry. Day to day you will operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron. What we are looking for: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
